Timely Prayer Request - 緊急の祈りのリクエスト
We just learned that Gideon [Ai] (Yumiko's son) was hit by a car earlier this evening. We don't have many details of the accident other than he was riding his bicycle when the car hit him and he sustained head injuries. The hospital asked Yumiko to come to the hospital right away, so she'll be taking a train there shortly. Please pray:- For Gideon's [Ai] complete healing of any injuries he may have sustained.
- For Yumiko to have a perfect peace and trust in the Lord that He will answer our prayers for Gideon [Ai].
- For good communication between Yumiko and the doctor(s)/hospital staff.

Prayer Request Update for Gideon [Ai] - ギデオン「愛」のための祈りのリクエストアップデート
We just learned that Gideon [Ai] is in IC and that the doctors don't know if he will make it. They feel that if he does he may not have any brain functions. Please, please pray for the Lord to intervene for Gideon [Ai] as well as give strength and comfort to his family.(The rest of the family has been informed at this point, and his brothers are all en route to the hospital right now.)

Earlier this morning we were told that there was no more hope for Gideon [Ai]. However, after giving Gideon [Ai] a CAT scan, the doctor is seeing a ray of hope. Please continue to pray for Gideon [Ai] who remains in critical condition specifically for:- the swelling in his brain to go down
- whatever the doctors are seeing as hopeful progress that it will continue to make progress towards complete healing
- against any secondary infections or complications
- wisdom and anointing for the doctors/nurses who are attending to Gideon [Ai]
- for Yumiko and family's strength and comfort

Answers to Prayer (More needed) - 祈りへの答え、もっと必要です。
This evening we learned that Gideon [Ai] has begun to show some signs of improvement. His blood pressure is stable and some of the swelling in his brain has gone down. He remains in a coma. Please pray:- That the swelling in his brain will go down by tomorrow
- That there will be no damage to his brain
- For continued protection against secondary infections/complications
- The continued anointing of the medical staff
- For Yumiko's strength and comfort.

Yumiko explained that there hasn't been any change in Gideon's [Ai] condition since yesterday evening. They will be performing more tests later today.DV Michael and Mandy will be going to the hospital this afternoon.

Mandy just relayed a message to me that something is wrong with Gideon's [Ai] heart or blood pressure and that he once again is in critical condition. We are not able to get through for more details as there is no connection in the ICU. Please pray urgently for the Lord to do a miracle for Gideon [Ai].4月19日月曜日、キティより

- Against complications - specifically that it will not harm his heart which is a known side affect.

Recent - 最新情報
Earlier today Gideon [Ai] had made some more progress, even breathing a little on his own. However around 5:00 he had a relapse with his blood pressure dropping down to around 50. The gave him some medication (as noted earlier) and by the time Michael left the hospital his blood pressure had gone up to 84. In my most recent phone conversation it was steady at 109. TYJ! We have some new prayer requests:- For his blood pressure to stabilize (at least around 90)
- As they are still administering drugs to keep his blood pressure up that he won't have any side affects (sometime this drug can increase the blood pressure too much causing the person to go into cardiac arrest - so specifically pray against this.)
- For him to begin to urinate so his kidneys don't get infected

今朝早く、ギデオン 「愛」はもっと進歩を遂げたそうです。自力で呼吸さえ少し出来ました。けれども、5時頃、血圧が50くらいまで下がって状況が逆戻りしてしまいました。薬 が処方され、マイケルが病院を出る頃には、血圧が84にまで上がりました。一番最近の電話では、109で安定しているそうです。TYJ! 新しい祈りのリ クエストです。
- 血圧が安定するように(少なくとも90くらいで)。
- 血圧が上がるようにまだ薬が処方さ れているので、その副作用がないように（この薬は血圧が上がりすぎて、心拍停止になる人もいるそうです。ですからそうならないように具体的に祈ってくださ い）。
- 腎臓に影響を与えないよう、尿が出るように。
Prayers Answered - 答えられた祈り
This morning we learned that Gideon's [Ai] blood pressured has stabilized and that his kidneys have begun to work again. TYJ! For some reason Yumiko and boys are not allowed to be with Gideon [Ai] as much as they had been previously. There is a nice tatami mat room which they can use to rest in, along with other families who's loved ones are in IC. Please pray that during these times Yumiko and boys can get much needed rest.While Gideon [Ai] is making progress again the doctor explained that as of now there is still no indication of brain activity and the swelling has not gone yet. Please unite in prayer with us specifically that:
- Gideon [Ai] will have no more relapses
- that he will continue to make steady progress towards supporting his life on his own.
- for the swelling in his brain to go down completely
- that his brain will start to shows signs of activity
- against any further attacks of the devil on his well being

今朝、ギデオン「愛」の血圧が安定し、腎臓が再び機能し始めたと聞きました。TYJ! 何かの理由で由美子もボーイズも以前ほどギデオン 「愛」と一緒にいることが許されなくなりました。集中治療室にいる他の患者さんの家族と一緒に、休んだり出来る和室があります。こういう時期にあって、由 美子とボーイズが必要な休息が得られるように祈っていて下さい。
ギデオン「愛」は進歩を遂げているものの、医師の説明によると、今のとこ ろギデオン「愛」の脳の活動が見られず、脳の腫れもまだ引いていないそうです。私たちと共に次の事のために具体的に祈ってください。
- ギ デオン「愛」の症状が悪化しないように。
- 自力で生命をサポート出来る方向に、ギデオン「愛」が確実な進歩を遂げ続けられるように。

Miracle Request
Thank you, everyone, who have been fighting in prayer for Gideon [Ai]. We really appreciate you and want to also thank those of you who have written or called us with your words of support, comfort from the Lord, and encouragement.This afternoon Yumiko explained that Gideon's [Ai] blood pressure keeps falling. The doctors are continuing to administer medication to keep it stable, but at this point they told her they are waiting for him to pass on.
We know that our God is a God of miracles. We would like to ask everyone to pray for a miracle at this point, that if it's within His will for Gideon [Ai] to remain with us that He will do the humanly impossible and completely heal Gideon [Ai].
"Desperate prayer in the power of the keys can overcome all odds, reverse damage, and bring complete victory in even the most seemingly impossible situations."

今日の午後、由美子から、ギデオン「愛」の血圧がますます下がっているという連絡がありました。お医者さんは彼の血圧を 安定するために薬物をまだ与えてるところですが、彼ら今のところはギデオン「愛」が亡くなるのをただ待っていると言っています。
私たち は、神は奇跡の神であることを知っています。私達は、奇跡のために祈ってくれることを皆さんにお願いしたいです。神の御心であれば、ギデオン「愛」のこの 不可能に見える状況を可能にし、彼を完全に癒す事を祈ってくれるよう、お願いします。
皆さんが私達と共に祈りで団結するのを本当に感謝し てます。
Lastest Update
Yesterday evening Michael/Mary (Lily), Amanda, Mari and Leina went to the hospital to see Yumiko and Gideon [Ai]. Each one was able to spend time with Gideon [Ai], talking to him, praying for him, even singing hymns. It was a very meaningful time for each one who went.The hospital staff has been taking very good care of Gideon [Ai]. In addition to faithfully monitoring his condition and changing his bed position they've also taken care of him physically by washing his hair, brushing his teeth, giving him a sponge bath. God bless them for taking such good care of Gideon [Ai].
In answer to our prayers Gideon's [Ai] blood pressure and heart rate has stabilized and his kidneys are working somewhat. His skin condition is also good. Those who visited said he had a very nice skin tone when they saw him. Thank the Lord for answering our prayers.
Gideon [Ai] is still in a coma, dependent on life support (ventilator, catheter, feeding tubes), and as of yet has not shown any brain activity. The doctors have done what they feel is all they can do, and they've really have done a wonderful job. But now it's time for the Lord to do the humanly impossible.
Our prayer requests are:
- For Gideon's [Ai] brain to start showing signs of activity
- For Gideon's [Ai] organ's to start working on their own beginning with
- his kidneys - which specifically need to be making more urine
- for him to come out of his coma both conscious and aware
- For the doctors and medical staff who are attending to Gideon [Ai]
- Against any complications and/or secondary infections
- Yumiko and family's comfort, strength and health.
Pray for positive results from tests
The doctor will be performing a test this morning testing for brain activity. We would like to ask that this test will show marked improvements.It's now been a week since the accident. At present Yumiko, and Gideon's [Ai] sister are with him. Yumiko explained that although there have been a few scares, for the most part Gideon [Ai] is still fighting. As long as Gideon [Ai] wants to keep fighting Yumiko wants to be there for him. We are all uniting in prayer with her and Gideon [Ai] in this fight for life, and ask that you please continue to support them in your prayers too. Thank you, dear family and friends.
Continued prayer needed
This morning Gideon was moved out of the IC unit to another floor, as his condition has stabilized to a point where he doesn't need intensive monitoring anymore. So this is good news in a way as his situation isn't as touch and go anymore. His pulse/blood pressure is stable. He still is considered in critical condition as he hasn't shown signs of waking from his coma, or brain activity and he's still dependent on life-support.Please continue to pray:
- For Gideon's [Ai] brain to start showing signs of activity
- for Gideon's [Ai] organ's to start working on their own
- for him to come out of his coma both conscious and aware
- for the doctors and medical staff who are attending to Gideon [Ai]
- against any complications and/or secondary infections
- Yumiko and family's comfort, strength and health.
Gideon currently has a fever, please pray that it will go down right away.

Thank you, family and friends, for you ongoing prayers for Gideon. We received a phone call around 1:00 this morning from Yumiko letting us know that Gideon has passed on. We are very thankful that Gideon chose to stay with us long enough so that each of his immediate family members had a chance to be with him (His father had made it up to see him just the day before.). We want to thank all of you who have been calling and emailing your prayers and support. As you can imagine we are a bit caught up in the situation with our only thought being to pray and find others to pray with us. I'm sorry that because of that we were a bit skimpy on the details of who Gideon [Ai] is and what happened, who is there with him, etc. I just added a new page which you can click on titled "background". I hope this helps you with your targeted prayers and also encourages those of you who are close to the family to know who is with Yumiko and Gideon [Ai] and what support is being given to them. Details surrounding the accident －事故の詳細
Gideon [Ai] is Yumiko's eldest son. He is 29 and has been living in Nagano for the last 10 years or so.During the late afternoon of April 17th he was crossing the crosswalk on his bicycle when a car struck him. Yumiko was notified of the accident by the hospital as soon as they received him and took the first train to be with him. Gideon's [Ai] other brothers also drove up from Tokyo that evening to be there to support Yumiko and have remained with her this whole time.
Gideon [Ai] suffered injuries to his brain (he didn't suffer any other injuries, TYJ!). We were told initially that there was little hope of survival and if he did survive he would most likely be in a vegetative state. Thanks to your prayers he has made some progress since his original diagnosis, however he remains in a very touch and go situation and in desperate need of your prayers. Thank you for supporting him and his family in your prayers.
愛さんは由美子さんの長男です。２９歳で長野市では１０年位滞在しています。
四月十七日土曜日の午後、自転車で交差点を渡ってる間に車に打つかってしまいました。病院はすぐに由美子さんに連絡して彼女は電車で彼のいる病院まで急い で行きました。愛さんの他の兄弟も東京から急いで病院までいきました。
愛さんは脳に傷害を受けてしまいました。（その他の障害はありませんでした。ＴYJ!)初めはあまり希望がないようで生き抜いても植物状態になってしまう ようでしたが、皆さんの祈りのおかげで初めの状態から今までは進歩しています。でもまだ繊細な状態で皆さんの祈りが必要です。皆さんの祈りで彼や彼の家族 を支えていることを本当に感謝してます。

＊昨夜(十八日）由美子さんと兄弟たちは愛さんの状態が安定していたため十分眠れました。
